Talk to your GP


Get professional help

Sometimes you simply can't cope on your own and you need outside assistance to feel better.

Simply talking to your GP can alleviate some of the more immediate anxiety - especially if you don't know why you're feeling like this.

If your situation is severe he or she might prescribe medicine to help you overcome your feelings of anxiety and stress.

If left untreated stress can sometimes lead to much more serious mental health issues such as depression or anxiety attacks.

If your GP is unsympathetic don't be deterred. Make another appointment to see a different doctor as they're not all alike. If you think you need help, keep going back until you get it!

If you feel overwhelmed don't be afraid to speak to someone or seek professional help.

You could also make an appointment to see a therapist who will help you identify the root cause of all your stress and work out ways to overcome it. There is nothing shameful in speaking to someone about your problems.

Everyone has issues and it's the smartest people who get help in solving them.
