Exercise 2 - All fours hip circles
Tara says: “This exercise helps to free up the hips and the lower back and can help bring the baby into a more optimal positioning for labor because you’re giving the baby more space to move.”
Pretty clever isn’t it! Who knew that wiggling your hips about could do so much for you and your baby?
This is the same starting position as the cat stretch but you can make the knees a little bit wider if you prefer.
Start to move your hips around imagining you were drawing a figure of 8 with your hips.
Make the movements as big or as small as feels comfortable and move like this for 30 – 60 seconds or as long as you like.
