Exercise 1 - The Cat stretch


You might feel a little self-conscious doing this exercise to start with but Tara says it will feel incredible for your back, especially if you’re experiencing back ache.

How to:
Get on all fours on your hands and knees on a yoga mat or blanket.

Have your wrists under your shoulders and knees under the hips, spread out the fingers and press through the knuckles.

Tuck the chin in and round up through the spine and inhale and come back to a neutral spine (not sinking into the lower back).

Every time you exhale bring the chin towards your chest rounding through the spine like a cat stretching, hugging your baby in towards you.

As you inhale soften to a neutral spine moving with the breath.

Repeat 10 times.
