If you're intrigued by what you've read, the best way to start things off is to find a mindfulness course near you. There are various places available, so do your research and figure out what best suits your needs.

"To get started, you need to access a mindfulness course, and the Mental Health Foundation’s Be Mindful website allows you to carry out a comprehensive search for mindfulness courses by location, type, start date or cost," advises Dr. Robotham.

If you're thinking of attending a course, remember to ask about the instructor's credentials and experience, what exactly you'll be doing, and what you need to bring with you.

"Alternatively, we have worked with expert practitioners to develop an interactive online course for anyone who doesn’t have a tutor in their area, who thinks they might struggle to fit a regular course into their schedule, or who is looking for a more affordable option," says Dr. Robotham.

So no excuses - there's something for everyone to get involved!
