Chiseled abs, Stone's quirky yet charming humor, and Gosling singing to us? Um, yes please! OK, so he might not be singing to us per se, but a girl can dream. And as far as the singing goes, I'm absolutely looking forward to it. I mean we all know that Stone can belt 'Pocketful of Sunshine' and starred in 'Cabaret.' Meanwhile, Gosling played the ukulele and sang in 'Blue Valentine,' and once upon a time was in the Mickey Mouse Club. So this will surely be a treat.
The musical, which was written by the director of 'Whiplash,' Damien Chazelle, is set to release on July 15, 2016 and follows a jazz pianist Sebastian (Gosling), who falls in love with an aspiring actress Mia (Stone).
According to a synopsis of the movie from Summit Entertainment, it will be a "modern take on the Hollywood musical" and will focus on the decisions both characters are forced to make when the success of their careers causes a rift in their love life.
Though I'm not too thrilled with the idea of Gosling and Stone's characters potentially breaking up (sigh), seeing their natural chemistry on screen once again will all be worth it. Also, this:
