If you think Wonder Woman would be content to playing second fiddle to the likes of Superman and Batman you are dead wrong. Gal Gadot has announced that she has signed a multi-film deal with Warner Bros. where Wonder Woman will be headlining!
When the Fast and Furious actress was first cast, superhero fans everywhere were a bit skeptical that Gal was up to the task. We’re here to tell you that there is more to this girl than a pretty face.
If you’re still in doubt, here are a few things you should know about the new Wonder Woman, and the first thing is: she is here to stay!
She can kick some butt
Gal served as a fitness instructor in the Israeli military for two years, so she certainly knows how to handle herself in a fight.
She’s bulking up
One thing fans have complained about is Gal’s extremely petite and slender figure, saying she does not quite fit the picture of Wonder Woman. But never fear, Gal has confirmed that she is working out like a fiend and packing on the muscle.
She’s a former Miss Israel
In 2004, Gal competed in the Miss Universe pageant as Miss Israel and appeared in an extremely controversial and revealing photo shoot for Maxim magazine. So no doubt, this lady will have no problem rocking that super heroine leotard with confidence!
Fast and Furious was her big break
Though Gal has stared in films like Knight and Day and Date Night, her big break came with the role of Gisele in the Fast and Furious film franchise. She is now close friends with all the actors in the franchise, including the late Paul Walker.
She loves motorcycles
Gal doesn’t just like fast bikes in the movies! The actress herself owns a Ducati motorcycle. We wonder if she’ll love flying Wonder Woman’s invisible jet as much as she loves her bikes...
She’s a married mom
Sorry, everyone, this sexy lady is taken. Gal has been married to businessman and hotel owner Yaron Varsano since 2008. The two have a beautiful daughter named Alma, 2.
She’s the first big-screen Wonder Woman
Though Wonder Woman has appeared in everything from comic books to television shows, she has never once appeared on the big screen, though male heroes like Superman and Batman have had successful franchises for decades. This one’s for the women!
