Textured ballerina bun

The ballerina bun; another popular trend that looks set to continue into spring summer next year, but with the added ingredient of texture - think effortless and a little bit messy.

Hairdresser Jennie Roberts told us how to create the look:

‘Prep hair when it's damp using a thickening foam to add volume, applying evenly from root to tip.

'Roughly dry the hair with a hairdryer, then use a large barrel tong to add a soft curl from the mid to the end, backcombing the same section to add further texture.

'Finally, gather the hair into a loose high ponytail on the crown of your head, twisting it loosely into a large, soft bun and securing with hair grips. Use your fingers to loosen the bun, teasing and twisting stray strands, and spritzing with a strong hold hairspray.’

Think disheveled dancer!
