Next came the scary part. Marie applied the acid and told me it might feel tight and a bit hot but it wouldn’t cause any major discomfort.

After she’d dabbed on the silky liquid acid she fanned my face to keep it cool.

I was pleasantly surprised. Far from the burning, stinging sensation I’d been expecting, what I got was a mild heat (think sitting in spring sunshine) and a slight tingling.

It seemed like only seconds went by before Marie was re-cleansing my skin and neutralizing the active acid.

With gloved fingers, Marie brushed my face and I wondered if perhaps layers of dead skin where being buffed off?
