Raising awareness amongst youths

Another aspect that touches Claudia profoundly is raising awareness of the subject among youths. How can you raise awareness of the importance of water among young people, particularly in privileged areas where people have access to everything. So how exactly do you reconnect youths with basic resources that no longer seem important to some and yet are vital for so many others?

"We try to pass on the message through art a lot. For example, in Nicaragua, we made a mural with a local painter in order to spread the message about the importance of water. And we also made a mural on the rue Van Horne in Montréal, it was an art project and an awareness project at the same time.

And for World Water Day, March 22, One Drop launched a game in order to raise young people's awareness of water. The aim was to learn while having fun, and to get something out of it. The beauty of this game is that it's also about teaching them to give. The game involves accumulating drops of water which can then be given to real projects and these projects are sponsored by people. We want to encourage them to give something back!"
