If you want to work in the film industry, you need to be prepared to give it all. To break through you need talent, self-sacrifice and work offers!. You have to be prepared for non-paid shoots and assistant jobs that aren't very highly regarded. This was how life looked for me until the day I met David, the love of my life.
David didn't give two hoots about films. What he loves is traveling, discovering other people and other cultures. At the time, he'd just come back from South America and was leaving again for a year in Australia. To make ends meet, he took on jobs whilst he was away. Listening to him speaking about his travels made me realize that it was a passion for him - and my passion was for him, not films.
So I abandoned everything. He made me dream of traveling, and I'd follow him to the ends of the Earth. So that's what I did: I decided to work and travel and live that life, and I'm absolutely loving it.
