The beauty of tea
Researchers at Kingston University reckon white tea is the perfect wrinkle-zapper after tests showed that it inhibited the chemicals that cause collagen and elastin to break down.
Another wrinkle wonder is Rooibos, a red tea hailed as an anti-aging beverage after studies at Japan’s Institute for Science of Aging at AICHI Medical University discovered it contained a premium antioxidant called Super Oxide Dismutase. In South Africa, where it’s grown, the tea is also used topically to treat skin conditions – in one study 70% of acne sufferers had clearer skin after using it. Just brew, cool and apply with cotton wool.
