Scientists at the University of South Florida found that the antioxidant EGCG in green tea affected the production of a protein involved in Alzheimer’s, and according to a study in the Journal of Nutrition green tea is also thought to protect against arthritis.
Meanwhile, Taiwanese researchers believe tea could help prevent osteoporosis after finding that people who regularly drank tea for ten years had denser hipbones than non-tea drinkers.
