I'd tried to quit several times on my own, but I soon started smoking again. It took lots of moral support and nicotine replacement therapy to get me to quit - cold turkey just didn't work!

I used patches for 3 months, reducing the dose gradually, and I was shocked I didn't crave nicotine when I stopped the patches, and I wasn't a complete monster or a nervous wreck either!

With the patches, it was easy to wean myself off nicotine. The only thing was I did put on a bit of weight, but at the end of the day better a few extra pounds than a face full of wrinkles and destroyed lungs. I already look younger and less tired.
