"I used to smoke a lot: about 2 packs a day. When I got pregnant, I really wanted to stop and I felt like I had to for the sake of the baby. I went to see my practice nurse and she really supported me through it and gave me lots of advice from other people's experiences. I felt like she understood. I cut down to 5 cigarettes a day and then I stopped completely after I gave birth.
Going to see a specialist who knows what they're talking about really helped me to take it seriously and deal with it. It's like going to a dietitian, and I'd seriously recommend going to a clinic or stop smoking surgery if you really want to stop and need support."
