The Idea. You don’t need to be an experienced swimmer, nor do you need to put your head under the water. It’s all about doing normal aerobic exercises, in water up to the waist (at the shallow end), sometimes with a few accessories, like balls and different shaped floats. Aquafitness is a little more energetic, but both are low impact sports, safe for almost anyone.
The Benefits. There are plenty: pain-free toning of several muscle groups, elimination of toxins and improvement of cellulite, boosting circulation and gently strengthening the cardiovascular system. An ideal way to get back into exercise.
