Indulging without bingeing: a festive survival guide

A bit of everything for your main course

Don't have over 100g of meat or more than 150g of fish. Have a bit of everything, in small portions.

If you like sauce, have a tablespoonful, and don't wipe it up with bread at the end of your meal!

Give youtself big portions of veg, as long as they're not cooked in fat (cauliflower cheese, sauté potatoes, etc). Veg fills you up and doesn't contain many calories.

If you always give in to the roast potatoes (and who doesn't?!), have 4 or 5 and no more! A couple of spoonfuls of mash is also enough, as it may be heavy with cream.
