Staying on top of your calorie intake at Christmas is almost impossible, but there are a few shortcuts to burning off extra calories. Fitness expert for Kettler GB Dani Mears, shares his secrets...

"While cooking Christmas dinner or queuing in the shops stand on your tiptoes - this will help to tone your calf muscles and your bum. Raise your heels 15 times on each leg."

"Why not work off the festive stress on a mini trampoline? Small and easy to store, you can pop it in front of the TV and catch up with your favorite shows while getting fit. This will burn around 210 calories in half an hour."

A trampoline is something the whole family can get into - it kinda makes watching TV difficult, but no pain no gain.
