Khaki colours - spring/summer 2010 fashion trends
If there's one shade that took the summer collections by storm, it's khaki. Rather than the camouflage effect, it's more akin to becoming the new black. At Céline, liquorice leather created a chic and urban look. Meanwhile at both Chloé and Paul & Joe, khaki was displayed on chic yet utilitarian outfits.
We think: Khaki is less military for the 2010 season and it establishes more of an adventurous sportswear spirit or jungle style. Away from the catwalk, it's best to avoid the head-to-toe khaki look, so opt for a khaki-colored jacket, skirt or shorts. One thing's for sure this year: khaki is not just for the boys.
