Disorganisation at LFW
A rather subdued start to the week could be attributed to half of the fashion press stranded in New York thanks to a Brooklyn-based hurricane (yes, in the Big Apple. We’re not in Kansas now Toto).
Furious tweets peppered Twitter as winds kept planes grounded in JFK. And when they did arrive it was to complain of the ‘ramshackle’ state of affairs, comparing London and New York fashion weeks.
Sure, the queuing takes its toll and it’s mighty irritating to be turned away, bonafide ticket in hand, but the haphazard nature of London does make it endearing – just like us Brit girls, it can never quite be sleek and smooth. Battered shoes and windswept hair are the sartorial equivalent of disorganization, LFW style.
