Satyen Kumar showed a summery collection at the Vauxhall Fashion Scout. Managing to feed the emerging trend for sheer into his menswear collection, peachy menswear polo shirts in gossamer fabrics were slipped over patterned tops and daring pieces such as a flamingo pink suit and printed trousers gave the boys some tips on subtle eccentricities for summer.
Perhaps the polar opposite of this was conceptual menswear label Komakino. Designers Federico Capalbo and Jin Kim presented a collection of deconstructed tailoring in various shades of black. The eerie collection began with a film of a burning photo and oversize T-shirts with faded prints and distressed leather jackets were paired with robotic face-constraints. Latex pieces and artfully destroyed rubber only add to that gothic sensibility that, although not very becoming of a spring/summer collection, certainly made a dramatic impact on the catwalk.
