Once you’ve tasted the wine, it’s important to review the exact flavor. Was it fruity, creamy, silky, rich or did it remind you of those god awful sweets your Nan use to give you?

Also, think about what was missing in the taste, or what you would have liked in addition. This will help you recognize what you like and what you don’t, to establish your own wine palate.

Remember, the Chateau Petrus can be one of the most expensive wines out there, but if you prefer a bottle of Tesco's own Rose, go with your personal tastes - you'll enjoy the experience much more.
