Red wine, what to serve with red wine, Bordeaux

Tannic red: Cabernet, Saumur-Champigny, Bourgueil, Chinon, Mâcon, Saint-Joseph, Bandol, Fitou and Saint-Chinian go well with hot starters, stew, red meat, game and some desserts (with peaches or cooked pears).

Burgundy red: Côte-de-nuits, Chambertin, Vosne-romanée, Pommard and Volnay go well with poultry, white meat, feathered game and red meat.

Bordeaux: Grave, Pessac-Léognan, Médoc, Pauillac, Margaux, Saint-Emilion, Saint-Julien and Châteauneuf-du-Pape go well with game, red meat like lamb, duck and hare.
