Where to find a childminder

The Children’s Information Service at your local council will have a list of local registered childminders. (Phone your local council or go online to www.childcarelink.gov.uk.) They even have details of who has vacancies, but it is worth getting a complete list and calling the ones shown as full. It could be they have a place coming up very soon.

Go to your local Netmums website, where there is a Childcare board and you can see who is showing vacancies. You can put up a note yourself saying what you are looking for and asking childminders who fit the criteria to respond.
