We have lift off - when babies learn to walk |
|
Once my daughter moved off the spot there was no stopping her and all of a sudden my motherhood idyll was shattered. With learning to walk comes a state of independence in your beloved child that culminates around the age of two years old, give or take a few months, with full-blown temper tantrums.
It came as a complete shock to me. While I had read every pregnancy book, manual and magazine I could get my hands on, actually being a mum left me no time for reading, so when my little one threw herself down on the floor screaming because I’d said no to another biscuit, it completely bowled me over.
