We’re looking for a qualified student or graduate to work across our photography projects (street style and beauty tutorials) and our editorial, producing original, shareable content as well as managing our Pinterest account.
You will ideally have knowledge of SEO and experience of working in an online editorial environment.
You should have a strong eye for compelling visual content and full of ideas for ways to connect with readers through original content ideas.
You will be able to quickly research a variety of topics and communicate complex information in a fun and friendly editorial voice while paying attention to detail. A natural flair for writing and an understanding of what makes articles go viral is a must.
You should be comfortable behind a camera and able to handle the fast-pace of digital journalism. You should have a strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and be excited about creating infographics and other non-written content.
An internship at wewomen.com is a great first step into the world of women’s digital media!
You will ideally have:
• A college degree or pursuing a degree in arts (Photography, Graphic Design, and Magazine
Journalism concentrations are a plus)
• Experience in women’s media, ideally online
• Experience using social media in a business capacity, in particular Pinterest
• Experience taking photos with a DSLR
• Adobe Photoshop skills (preferably advanced)
• A confident writing style
• Impeccable spelling and grammar
• Attention to detail
• A positive can-do attitude
• A sense of humor
