Losing a loved one is one of the most difficult experiences anybody can go through, but thanks to a handy new invention, you can now keep your loved one close to you even after they're gone. So close, in fact, that they can actually be inside you. The new urn that also doubles as a dildo is part of an intimacy package called 21 Grams, which allows you to relive the sensual experiences you had with your lost loved one. We find this new invention sweet and sentimental...in a sex toy kind of way.

Grieving is a physically and mentally grueling experience that makes running a marathon look like child's play. Losing a partner makes things all the more difficult, as they not only were a huge source of emotional support, there was also a strong physical connection involved. All the therapy in the world may not be able to come close to filling the physical void you feel as a widower.

Enter 21 Grams, the intimacy kit from Dutch designer Mark Sturkenboom that should be sent to grieving widows everywhere. The kit, aptly named after the weight lost by somebody after they pass away, includes a box that emits scents and music that remind you of your partner, and most importantly, a dildo that has a compartment where you can store you loved one's ashes. The kit is locked and can only be open by a key worn by the widower. A touching metaphor for such a kinky gadget. Sturkenboom explains the role of the kit in a widower's life: "21 Grams is a memory-box that allows a widow to go back to the intimate memories of a lost beloved one. After a passing, the missing of intimacy with that person is only one aspect of the pain and grieve." In case you needed a full visual of what we're dealing with here:

So we have to give credit to the company for thinking of a unique way to help along the grieving process, there is no doubt that anybody who lost their partner misses their physical intimacy as well as their emotional intimacy. Unless your partner smelled like Axe body spray and liked listening to Journey cover bands, then you probably don't need the whole kit and would be better off with just the dildo. Our favorite part of this new gadget? Its origin. Sturkenboom said he thought of the idea of 21 Grams after repeatedly helping an old woman at the grocery store and listening to her talk about her husband's ashes: "she always speaks with so much love about him but the jar he was in didn’t reflect that at all."

We hope that the old lady at the grocery store is extremely proud of the intimacy kit she inspired. She has probably helped more widows than she'll ever know heal inside and out...pun intended.
