Set an end point

He’s worth it if...you have an end point in sight

Many people in long distance relationships make the mistake of having no plans for the future. We’re not saying that a month into your relationship you should be setting a wedding date.

But, if you’ve not had some kind of chat about ending up in the same place at some point then you’re just burying your head in the sand.

After all, you don’t want to get one year down the line and find out that neither of you have any intention of moving from your current location. Broach the subject carefully, as you don’t want to sound like you’re trying to force him into a snap decision.

Just start the discussion about where you both see yourselves in a year or so; where you think your careers might take you, or whether either of you think that you might need to live near elderly relatives.

The result of the discussion could be painful, but the longer you leave it, the more painful it has the potential to be.
