- Divorce party: clebrating divorce
"I invited all my friends, we went out for dinner, had champagne and a huge cake, then we danced the night away in a club 'till dawn. I've never had such a laugh!"

You'd be forgiven for thinking Joanna is talking about her hen night or birthday party, but the newly-single 36-year-old is talking about the divorce party she threw two months ago. And she's not the only one to mark the end of her marriage with a celebration. Nowadays event planners can arrange divorce parties down to the tiniest detail.

Divorce parties originated in the US, and sure enough they're now making headway on our side of the Atlantic. How society has changed since the days when divorce was a taboo subject! The first ever divorce fair in the UK will take place in Brighton on Sunday 15th March. For more info, see www.startingovershow.co.uk

Yet going though a is a painful experience. Is it really a good idea to celebrate the end of your marriage drinking champagne and going out on the pull with the girls, or is it one cynical step too far? Over to you...
