How to spot a commitment phobe

How can you tell when someone has commitment phobia, rather than someone who's a bit cautious or someone who just isn't that into you?

"Many commitment phobes say that being in a committed relationship makes them feel claustrophobic," says Lyn. So look out for anxiety and panic symptoms.

If you're trying to work out if someone is a commitment phobe, bring up the topic of relationships and commitment - if they waffle, skirt around the topic, get nervous, make a joke or use some other diversion tactic, Lyn says they could have commitment issues.

Does your man also have problems keeping to other types of commitments? Things like being on time for dates or making plans in advance. That's another sign that they might be a commitment phobe.
