The 2003 fall/winter catwalk shows in London and New York marked another milestone for Beatrix Ong. Her shoes were used in high profile shows such as Temperley and Maria Chen.
The following month Ong had been named in the ’10 Leading Shoe Designers’ list compiled by the Independent Newspaper. Her name appeared next to footwear luminaries such as Manolo Blahnik and Patrick Cox.
The brand was going from strength to strength and by 2004, Ong was being hailed as ‘The New Choo’. Indeed, Shoo magazine proclaimed the title from its glossy front cover in March of that year.
With the early success of Beatrix’s collections and her star definitely on the rise, the flagship Beatrix Ong boutique was opened in fashionable Primrose Hill, London. The shop quickly a became hit as Beatrix Ong shoes gained notoriety on the celebrity circuit thanks to A-list fans such as Kate Moss and Drew Barrymore.
